Larvae present July-August, at first mining a leaf the feeding in a web along the midrib. Adults September-July.

History
The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Glenluce, Wigtownshire, on 24th April 1954, the specimen now at National Museums Scotland, while the first record for Dumfriesshire was trapped at Dornockbrow on 15th June 2011, with the Kirkcudbrightshire first being caught on Barcloy Hill on 13th August 2013.
