Attracted to light. Commonly disturbed in the field.

May-September.

Elder (Sambucus nigra), lilacs, viburnums and privets.

Habitat

Gardens, woodland and hedges.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Kippford, Kirkcudbrightshire, on 8th July 2005, while the first for Dumfriesshire was found at Glencaple on 25th June 2010, with the Wigtownshire first being found at Chippermore Point on 23rd July 2010.
