Attracted to light.

May-September. May be a migrant to our region.

The fungus Daldinia vernicosa.

Habitat

Gorse and Birch woodland and scrub.

History

The first for Scotland and Dumfries & Galloway was trapped at Clifton on 9th July 2014; genitalia dissection proved it to be a female.
