Male comes to light.

Life cycle

Larvae present May-February.  Adults March-April.  Female is wingless.

Larval foodplants

Mostly dead insects but also lichens and algae growing on tree trunks, fences or walls.

History

First record for Dumfries and Galloway, indeed for Scotland, was from shoreline debris at Torduff Point, between Annan and Gretna (Dumfriesshire), in 2021.
