Life cycle

Larvae present April-June inside a female catkin and later – from an external web – on a bud.  Adults fly June-October.

White Poplar, Aspen, White Willow, Goat Willow, Grey Willow.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Barony College, Parkgate, Dumfriesshire on 9th July 1982 during a Scottish Entomologists’ gathering.
