Life cycle

Mine: probably in leaf-buds of the foodplant, moving from bud to bud.  It is not known in which months the larvae are found but the period includes May at least.  Adults fly July-August.

Common Alder.

History

The first for Scotland and Dumfries & Galloway was found at Loch Kindar, Kirkcudbrightshire, during 1982.
