Life cycle

Larvae present June-July, September-October.  The larva initially mines the leaf then feeds externally.  Adults fly April-May, July-August.

Larval foodplants

Small-leaved Lime or Tilia x europaea.

History

First record for Dumfries and Galloway was several vacated mines in fallen leaves in a Dumfries supermarket car park, 18 September 2023.
