Flies in sunshine and rests on a flower of the foodplant.

Life cycle

Larvae July-October, adults May-June.

Larval foodplants

Cuckooflower, Garlic Mustard, Hedge Mustard, Winter-cress, Sea Rocket and, possibly, Scurvygrass species.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Auchenfad Hill, Kirkcudbrightshire, on 29th May 1994, while the first for Dumfriesshire was found at Caerlaverock on 12th June 2015.
