Life cycle

Larvae: July, September-April on the flowers and in the seed-head.  Adults: May-June, July-September.

Larval foodplants

Common Ragwort, Hawk’s-beard and Hawkweed species (Crepis, Pilosella), Goldenrod, less regularly on other Asteraceae.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Mersehead RSPB, Kirkcudbrightshire, on 3rd August 2005.
