Larval foodplants

Pignut (in spun flowers and fruits).  Less often in a spun leaf of Wild Carrot, Burnet-saxifrage and Spignel.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Portling, Kirkcudbrightshire, on 6th September 1978 by Sir Arthur Duncan, while the first for Wigtownshire was also found by Duncan at Torrs on 26th June 1982, both specimens at National Museums Scotland, with the Dumfriesshire first being found at an unknown site by a person unknown prior to 2001 (MOGBI data).
