History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Troston, Kirkcudbrightshire, on 2nd July 1979, while the first for Dumfriesshire was found at Castlehill in Kirkmahoe parish on 19th May 1980, both by Sir Arthur Duncan and both specimens at National Museums Scotland.
