Larvae September-May, adults June-July

Larval foodplants

Feeds mostly on dead insects but also decaying leaves, fungi, mosses, lichens and algae growing at the foot of a tree stump or under loose bark.

History

First record for Dumfries and Galloway was from WWT Caerlaverock in 2018.
