Larvae: September-June, among spun leaves.  Adults: July-September.

Larval foodplants

Many trees & shrubs and sometimes herbaceous plants.


The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Lochwood Oaks on 8th August 1996 during a ‘Grey Daggers’ Moth Group field meeting, while the first for Kirkcudbrightshire was found at Kelton Hill Wood on the Threave Estate NTS on 21st August 2007.
