History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Kirkconnell, Kirkcudbrightshire, on 9th August 1977 by Sir Arthur Duncan, who a few days later found the first for Dumfriesshire at Castlehill in Kirkmahoe parish on 18th August 1977, both specimens at National Museums Scotland.
