Larvae: April-June in a leaf rolled transversely from apex to petiole.  Adults: July-October.

Birch species, Hazel, willow species.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Kirkconnell, Kirkcudbrightshire, on 9th August 1977 by Sir Arthur Duncan, who a few days later found the first for Dumfriesshire at Castlehill in Kirkmahoe parish on 18th August 1977, both specimens at National Museums Scotland.
