Comes to light.

Life cycle

Larvae: April-June in the catkins or between two flatly-spun leaves.  Adults: July-September.

Larval Foodplants

Willow species, especially Grey Willow and Goat Willow; poplar species.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Closeburn, Dumfriesshire, on 6th September 1970 by Sir Arthur Duncan, specimen at National Museums Scotland, while the first for Kirkcudbrightshire was found on Auchencairn Bay during 2003.
