Larvae: May-June, at first in a rolled or puckered leaf, then making a pod of a leaf.  Adults: August-October.

Common Alder, favouring saplings and young coppice regrowth.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Castle Wood, Caerlaverock, Dumfriesshire, on 8th October 2010 during a ‘Grey Daggers’ Moth Group field meeting.
