History

First for Scotland and Dumfries & Galloway was caught at a window at The Crichton Institution in Dumfries on 6th September 1865 by William Lennon and later verified by H. G. Knaggs. It was the third record for Great Britain (Trans. Dumf. & Gall. Nat. Hist. Antiq. Soc. (Series 1) 4: 14).
