Larvae: August-May on a flower-head or developing seeds.  Adults: June-August.

Larval foodplants

Perennial Sow-thistle.


The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Kirkdale, Kirkcudbrightshire, on 7th August 1984 and was published as the fourth for Scotland, while the first for Wigtownshire was found at Philip & Mary on 9th July 2011.
