History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at at Kirkconnell Flow NNR, Kirkcudbrightshire, on 18th June 1979 by Sir Arthur Duncan, who also found the Dumfriesshire first at Powfoot on 26th May 1982, both specimens at National Museums Scotland.
