Life cycle

Larvae: June-July, August-April, first generation in the stem, shoot or flower-head, second generation in spun terminal leaves or a flower-head.  Adults: April-June, July-September.

Larval foodplants

Clover & trefoil species, especially Red Clover & White Clover; also Dyer’s Greenweed, Saw-wort and Common Bird’s-foot-trefoil.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Torduff Point, Dumfriesshire, on 26th May 2014.
