Flies in sunshine.  Occasionally comes to light.

Larvae July-May, adults May-July.

Larval foodplants

Wild Strawberry, Water Avens, occasionally Tormentil and other herbaceous Rosaceae.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Mersehead RSPB, Kirkcudbrightshire, on 9th July 1996, while the first for Dumfriesshire was found at Hightae Mill Loch on 17th June 1997.
