Recording method

Flies around the foodplant, especially late afternoon.  Occasionally comes to light.

Life cycle

Larvae July-May, adults May-June.

Larval foodplants

Flowers of Raspberry or occasionally other Rubus species such as Loganberry.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at The Forest, Wigtownshire, during June 1989 by E. F. Hancock, while the first for Dumfriesshire was found at an unknown site by a person unknown prior to 1993 (SNH data).
