Identification

Told from other Micropterix by its black head.

Recording method

Feeds on pollen of bluebells and sedges.  Sometimes comes to light.

Life cycle

It is not known which months the larvae are present.  Adults fly April-June.

Not known.

Habitat

Wet woodland.

History

First for Dumfries & Galloway was found in Mabie Forest (VC73) on 15th May 2017.
