History
The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found near Monreith, Wigtownshire, during July 1899 by K. J. Morton, specimen at National Museums Scotland, while the first for Dumfriesshire was found at Tynron on 8th October 1951 by Sir Arthur Duncan, specimen at National Museums Scotland, with the Wigtownshire first being trapped at the Gatehouse-of-Fleet RIS station on 11th August 1975.
