Life cycle

Larvae: July-June.  Overwinters near base of stem.  In spring in a terminal shoot spun into a large bunch.  Adults: May-September.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was caught at MV light at Holywood, Dumfriesshire, on 19th July 1994 by A. M. Emmet, while the first for Kirkcudbrightshire was found on Auchencairn Bay on 14th June 2004, with the Wigtownshire first being found at The Forest during July 2006.
