Life cycle

Larvae: June-April among dead leaves.  Adults: May-August.

Larval foodplants

Dead leaves of birch, and probably other, species.


The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Lochaber Loch, Kirkcudbrightshire, on 3rd June 1997.
