Larvae present September-June, in a thick web on leaves.  Adults fly June-October.

Hawthorn species, Rowan, sometimes Rose species or Cotoneaster horizontalis.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Bargennan, Wigtownshire, on 18th July 1994 by A. M. Emmet, who found the first for Dumfriesshire at Holywood on 19th July 1994, with the Kirkcudbrightshire first being found at an unknown site by a person unknown prior to 1996 (MOGBI data).
