History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found near Dumfries, during 1860 by William Lennon; this record may refer to Kirkcudbrightshire as Dumfries lies within both counties. The first for Kirkcudbrightshire was found at Kirkconnell on 13th July 1976 by Sir Arthur Duncan, specimen at National Museums Scotland.
