Mines: March-April; July; October.  Adults fly April-June, July-August, September-November.

Larval foodplants

Oaks, especially Evergreen Oak, Beech, Sweet Chestnut, Hornbeam, Roble (Nothofagus obliqua, an ornamental).  Occasionally lime species or Paper Birch.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was of a leaf-mine found in Castle Kennedy Gardens, Wigtownshire, on 17th July 1994 by A. M. Emmet.
