History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was of leaf-mines found at Langholm, Dumfriesshire, on 11th October 1952 by D. A. B. Macnicol, while the first for Kirkcudbrightshire was of leaf-mines found at Lochanhead on 12th October 1952.
