Flies amongst short heather on sunny days.  Comes to light.

Larvae present August-May, adults May-July.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Kelhead Flow, Annan, Dumfriesshire, on 13th May 2014, while the the first for Kirkcudbrightshire was found on Cairnsmore of Carsphairn at 774 metres on 17th June 2014.
