Larvae: July-April in a large, resinous gall on a twig. Adults: June.

History
The first for Dumfries & Galloway was of galls found on Carsegowan Moss, Wigtownshire, on 23rd June 1996, while the first for Kirkcudbrightshire was found at an unknown site by a person unknown prior to 2010 (Scottish micro-moth data).
