Life cycle

Larvae present July-September.  Larva feeds in a leaf rolled downwards into an open-ended tube from which it emerges to feed on other leaves. Adults March-May.

Larval foodplants

Blackthorn, Rowan, hawthorn species.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Milton, Kirkcudbrightshire, on 23rd April 2006, while the first for Dumfriesshire was trapped at Holmhead on Lochar Moss on 26th April 2014.
