Life cycle

Mines: May-June, July-August, October-March (only those found on Bramble have the Oct-Mar winter generation). Adults: April, July and September.

Larval foodplants

Bramble (and other Rubus species), Strawberry (Fragaria), species of Avens (Geum spp), Agrimonia (Agrimony).

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was of leaf-mines found at Ruthwell, Dumfriesshire, during April 1973, while the first for Kirkcudbrightshire was of leaf-mines found at Kirkcudbright during April 1973, with the Wigtownshire first being of leaf-mines found at Castle Kennedy Gardens on 27th April 2011.
