Larval period unknown. Adults fly February-September.
Larval foodplants
In houses, on woollen clothing, upholstery and carpets, as well as other materials of animal origin such as fur and hair. In the open, has been found in birds’ nests but only when near human habitation.
History
The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Blawbare, near Closeburn, during 2004, while the first for Kirkcudbrightshire was found at Kippford on 16th June 2006.
