European Silver-fir Abies alba, Greek Fir Abies cephalonica or Stone Pine Pinus pinea.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Castlehill in Kirkmahoe parish, Dumfriesshire, on 18th August 1977 by Sir Arthur Duncan, specimen at National Museums Scotland, while the first for Kirkcudbrightshire was found on the Threave Estate NTS on 14th July 1994 by A. M. Emmet.
