Following the Grey Daggers visit to Corserig Hill, we have just received the verification notes (early October 2010) from Keith Bland of the National Museums of Scotland, and we have two new moths for Dumfries & Galloway to announce. Firstly, a micro, Depressaria badiella, of the family Oecophoridae, of which two males were caught and confirmed, secondly, a male Remm’s Rustic Mesapamea remmi, which is closely allied to the other Mesapamea species, Common Rustic and Lesser Common Rustic. Juniper Pug, which we intended to catch, and Crinan Ear were also confirmed.
