Larvae: September-April in the roots and rootstock. Adults: May-August.

History
The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found near Monreith, Wigtownshire, during July 1899 by K. J. Morton, while the first for Kirkcudbrightshire was found at Troston on 9th August 1978 by Sir Arthur Duncan, specimen at National Museums Scotland.
