Attracted to light.
Life cycle
One generation. Overwinters as a pupa. Larvae late June to early August. Pupates on bark or in loose earth.

Mature Hawthorn and Pedunculate Oak.
Habitat
Mature woodland, shelterbelts and hedgerows.
History
First recorded for Dumfries and Galloway as recently as 2002 at Auchencairn Bay (VC73) and in 2008 at Caerlaverock (VC72).
