Identification
Small light greys moths. Most females have rudimentary wings but a fully winged form occurs.

Freshwater habitats but disperses widely and may be found some distance from water
History
The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Lochwood Oaks, Dumfriesshire, on 8th August 1996 during a ‘Grey Daggers’ Moth Group field meeting, while the first for Kirkcudbrightshire was found at Carsfad near Dalry on 1st August 1999, with the first for Wigtownshire being found at The Forest on 8th August 1997.
