Flies in the evening and night. Comes to light.

Life cycle

Larvae present July-April.  Larva feeds in a portable case made from a folded-over section of leaf.  Adults June-August.

Decaying leaves.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Kirkconnell, Kirkcudbrightshire, on 4th July 1977 by Sir Arthur Duncan, specimen at National Museums Scotland.
