Larvae: May-June on catkins and later in spun leaves.  Adults: July-August.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Monreith, Wigtownshire, on 15th July 1994 by A. M. Emmet, while the first for Kirkcudbrightshire was found on Auchencairn Bay on 12th July 2010, with the Dumfriesshire first being found at Eskrigg Nature Reserve at Lockerbie on 16th July 2011.
