Identification

A large distinctive micro-moth with a broad brown wing margin and white centre. A melanic form occurs frequently, this being dark with a purplish sheen.

Attracted to light.

Caught for the first time for Dumfries & Galloway and VC74 by Paul Donald near Whithorn in 2023.
