Larvae: July-April on the flowers or in the seed-head.  Adults: June.

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Portling, Kirkcudbrightshire, on 7th June 1984 by Sir Arthur Duncan, specimen at National Museums Scotland, while the first for Wigtownshire was found at Garheugh on 26th June 2005.
