Identification

A noticeable dark streak running three-quarters down the wing from the thorax, terminating into a wedge shape darker area with a white spot within, on an otherwise plain forewing, helps to distinguish it.

Recording Method.

Attracted to light, also comes to sugar and flowers.

Life cycle

Two or more generations abroad.

Larval foodplants

Larvae feed on grasses.

Habitat

Most commonly on  grassycoastal areas.

History

One record at Annandale Water Service Station (VC72) on 1st October 2006.
