Flies at dawn and from late afternoon to dusk.  Comes to light.

Larvae July-April, adults April-July.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Palnackie, Kirkcudbrightshire, on 29th May 1965 by E. C. Pelham-Clinton, who also found the first for Dumfriesshire at Moniaive on 5th June 1966.
