Very similar to Phycitodes saxicolaP.maritima and Homoeosoma nebulella and H.nimbella. Genital dissection suggested for confident identification.

Attracted to light.

Spear Thistle (Cirsium vulgare).

Habitat

A wide range of habitats.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found on Auchencairn Bay, Kirkcudbrightshire, on 25th July 2002 and recorded from Dumfrieshire in Dumfries on 24th August 2021. No records from Wigtownshire.
