Mines: June-July, September-October.  Adults fly May-June, August.

Larval foodplants

Black Poplar (Populus nigra) including hybrids (Populus x canadensis) and Lombardy Poplar (Populus nigra ‘Italica’).


The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at unknown sites in Dumfriesshire and Kirkcudbrightshire by persons unknown prior to 2010 (Scottish micro-moth data).
