Larva feeds under a web on the upperside of a leaf.  Webs can be conspicuous on a dewy morning.

Life cycle

Larvae present June-July, August-November.  Adults fly May-June, July-August.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at an unknown site in Dumfriesshire by a person unknown prior to 1996 (MOGBI data), who found the first for Kirkcudbrightshire that was found at Kirkconnell Flow NNR on 15th June 2002.
