History
The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Castlehill in Kirkmahoe parish, Dumfriesshire, on 10th June 1983 by Sir Arthur Duncan, specimen at National Museums Scotland, while the first for Wigtownshire was found at an unknown site by a person unknown prior to 1985 (BRC/MOGBI data), with the Kirkcudbrightshire first being found on Auchencairn Bay on 12th June 2007.
